My best advice would be to have them done at a nail shop by a professional, they last longer to.
I am an esth. and do nails on clients. I use tip or scalpt. (with paper) it all depends on what you do If your hands are in the water do not use tip, the glue will come off in parts and you can get fungus growth on your nail. Use the scalt. where they put the product all on your nail. As well as gel or acric. it all depends again on what you do. If you want a stronger product use acr. if you like the shine of gel ask for a over coat of gel. If you want a more flex. product go with gel. With acr. they can take it off your nail with product (soak your hand), but with gel they have to file it off which is alot harder on your nail. If you want a product that is good to use either acric. or gel look around and ask the girls that do them. Most of the time you can not buy this product with out a licence to do nails. Hope this helps. If you need more info email me back :)
the best brand i have ever used was OPI.

professional stuff but pretty worth it.

can last 2-3 weeks.
Try Sally Hanson or Nailtiques. You can find these products at any local convenient store.
