I want to start buying my nails from places like wal mart (They have cute designs) Then I want to apply them professionally to my own nails.I know I would need a uv nail lamp..but what else? (I know purchasing the stuff will be exspensive but I'm willing to do it)What things do I need to professionally apply my own artificial nails?
You can't apply the kind that come in the packs professionally. Glue ons are NOT at all professional.
The real artificial nails start as liquid chemicals %26amp; powder. They mix them together %26amp; sculpt them over your nails. The ones in the pack are just plastic you glue on. A UV lamp will do nothing to help you. The UV lamp is used to harden %26amp; cure the actual acrylic (chem %26amp; powder).
Just go get them done in a salon. It's the best way. Or just buy the ones in the packs %26amp; glue them on. I don't recommend them though.

If you are going for glue on kind, I'd just recomend the most preperation possible!
There are these buffers out there, I have one, and it's 4 sided, and all different colors. %26amp; each side does something different.
(shine, polish, buff, remove hard edges, ect.)
So they have the smoothest surface. I havent used the glue kind in sooo long, but i think youre supposed to just put a dot of glue in the senter of the naill. (:
